The 2008 Ford Edge requires 32 ounces of dot 3 brake fluid. Changing the brake fluid in a car can be a straightforward task, depending on whether you need to bleed the brakes or just add more fluid. If you only need to add fluid, locate the intake port under the car's hood. Unscrew the cap and check the container for the MIN and FULL lines. Fill the container between these lines, ideally close to the full line. Replace the cap, and you're finished. If you must bleed the brakes, start by lifting the car with a jack and removing the tires. Begin at the back and find the bleeder valve on the wheel. Attach a piece of rubber tubing to the valve and open it. Enter the car and slowly press the brake pedal. Release it and repeat the process. Watch as the fluid flows into a bucket through the tube. Keep pumping until no more fluid comes out, then move on to the next wheel. Repeat this for all the tires, reinstall the tires, and top up the brake fluid as needed.
