The 2001 Ford Focus can take either DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid, such as Prestone 12 Ounce DOT 3 or Valvoline 32 Ounce DOT 3, DOT 4. The brake fluid container can be found in the engine compartment, towards the rear by the left side of the car. Remember to top it up with dot 3 brake fluid.
