Like many Honda vehicles, it is recommended to use the manufacturer-approved coolant for the 2007 Fit to ensure optimal cooling system performance. If you can't find Honda Long-Life Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2, you can temporarily use a non-silicate coolant like Preston's Yellow 50/50 coolant without any issues. This alternative coolant is widely available, with places like local auto parts stores or Walmart likely carrying it. As a reference, O'Reilly's typically sells it for about $12 when it's on sale. You do not have to worry about mixing old coolant with the new one; just add it to the reservoir and you're good to go!
Prestone 50/50 antifreeze and coolant is the suggested coolant option for the 2007 Honda Fit.
