The Ford Fiesta ST is known for having issues with worn-out motor mounts. Some dealerships suggest that the standard Fiesta mounts used for the ST model can become loose over time, especially when the manual gear shift and more powerful engine are in play. Compared to regular models, the Fiesta ST's engine has 80 additional horsepower and 100 more lb-ft of torque. Typically, the front bolt and passenger side mount are the first to fail, leading to noticeable extra space between the assembly and the motor. Repair experts believe that the main bolt may not have been tightened correctly during the factory installation. Signs that replacement is necessary include vibrations during acceleration, clunking when shifting gears, exhaust damage, and a visibly drooping motor in the engine bay.
