When you have the 1.5-liter engine in the 2015 Ford Fusion, it requires 4.1 liters (4.4 quarts) of 5W-20 oil. Both the 2.0-liter EcoBoost and the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engines need 5.4 liters (5.7 quarts) of the same viscosity oil. Synthetic SAE 5W-20 oil is recommended by Ford as it reduces friction, prevents corrosion, cools the engine, and improves fuel economy. Failure to change the oil regularly can lead to issues such as engine knocking, decreased gas mileage and performance, and excessive exhaust smoke. Low oil pressure may cause expensive damage to the engine. Ford suggests an oil change every 7,500 miles, but if you frequently drive long distances at low speeds, you may need to change it more often. The cost to have the oil changed at a dealership typically ranges from $110 to $140, including labor.

Many are claiming that the 2.0 liter eco boost engine uses the same oil as the other engine, but that's not accurate. The manufacturer specifies 5w-30 oil for the 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium with the 2.0 liter ecoboost engine, as indicated on the oil cap.

The 2015 Ford Fusion takes full synthetic SAE 5W-20 motor oil. It requires 4.3 quarts for the 1.5L and 2.0L 4-cylinder engines, while the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine needs 5.7 quarts of oil.

Typically, you'll find that there is usually only one quart in a bottle, with at least four bottles to expect.

I just drained a bit more than 5 quarts this evening. I completely filled up a 5-quart oil container with the used oil.
