The 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class requires 0w-20, 0w-30, or 0w-40 oil and holds 7 quarts for the 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. It's important to change your oil regularly, ideally every 5,000 to 10,000 miles, to avoid engine issues. Using high-quality oil is essential for smooth engine performance, as old or poor-quality oil can lead to engine failure. Look out for signs like a burning smell or knocking noise, which could indicate oil problems that need immediate attention to prevent potential engine damage or issues with gas mileage.
The 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class uses full synthetic oil. The C300 model can use 0W-20, 0W-30, or 0W-40 viscosity oils. Its 2.0L 4-cylinder engine requires 7 quarts of oil.
The sole oil that meets Mercedes-Benz approved specifications is Mobil1 ESP 0W30. I couldn't find any other types of oil that are suitable. The owner's manual (page 416) requires oil that meets specifications 229.51, 229.52, 229.61, or 229.71.
