In 2003, the Chevy Silverado requires Blue ACDELCO Automatic transfer case fluid for the transmission. To refresh the fluid, start by ensuring the vehicle is parked on level ground and open the hood. Locate the transmission fluid reservoir, which can usually be found near the transmission itself, and then find the dipstick. Remove it, clean it off, reinsert it, and pull it back out. Take note of the fluid level indicated on the dipstick to determine how much fluid needs to be added to reach the proper level. Using a funnel, carefully add fluid to the reservoir until it reaches the full line, or just below it. It's okay to be slightly below the full line, but avoid overfilling. Close the reservoir and you're good to hit the road.
