In order to change the transmission fluid in your 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe, you'll need to use dexron vi fluid. The first step is to ensure the car is parked on a level surface and then open the hood. Look for the transmission fluid reservoir, which is typically located near the transmission itself, and locate the dipstick. Remove the dipstick, clean it, reinsert it, and then pull it out again to check the fluid level. Take note of how much fluid is required to fill the reservoir. Use a funnel to add fluid to the reservoir until it reaches the full mark, or just below it. It's important not to overfill. Once the reservoir is filled, close it up and you're all set to hit the road.
