Can someone please help with a transmission issue I'm having? My dipstick shows "MERCON 5" written in Roman numerals, but the dealership told me it should take "MERCON V" based on the VIN. I did an oil and filter change, but now my Overdrive (O/D) and transmission fault lights are blinking. I'm considering flushing out all the fluid in the transfer case and transmission and starting fresh with either MERCON LV or MERCON 5.
