In 2011, the Toyota Corolla requires dexron-vi full synthetic ATF for its transmission. To replace the transmission fluid, start by ensuring the car is parked on a level surface and then opening the hood. Locate the transmission fluid reservoir, which is typically near the transmission, and find the dipstick. Pull out the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it, and pull it out again. Take note of the fluid level indicated on the dipstick and determine how much fluid is needed to fill the reservoir. Using a funnel, pour in the necessary amount of fluid until the reservoir is full or almost full. It's okay to be slightly below the full mark, but avoid overfilling. Secure the reservoir cap and you're all set.
