The TPMS in the Porsche Macan is known to have frequent issues, with owners experiencing problems even after inflating their tires to the recommended pressure levels. Some have found a workaround by deflating and re-inflating the tires to reset the system. The main cause of TPMS malfunction in this vehicle has been found to be faulty wheel sensors. When these sensors are defective, damaged, or compromised, the TPMS warning light may inaccurately signal low pressure. To address this, the TPMS warning light in the Macan can be reset through the driver's information center or by having the sensors scanned individually at a service center for diagnosis.

To recalibrate the TPMS on the Porsche Macan, first ensure the tire pressure is accurate, then start the car. Press the reset button located to the right of the steering wheel and wait for ten minutes. If necessary, hold the button until the light blinks. If the sensor malfunctions, it might be due to incorrect tire pressure, leading to poor car performance.

Neither of my Macan GTS vehicles have a reset button for the TPMS system located to the right of the steering wheel. It seems like the reference might be to the thumb controls on the steering wheel that manage the Multi-Function Display (MFD) in the instrument cluster, but those controls are not functioning. That's why it's now part of a service campaign.
