Honda Odyssey owners have reported a clicking noise coming from under the dashboard, usually on the right side of the steering wheel. This sound may persist even after the vehicle is turned off and occurs when adjusting the climate control knob to its maximum heat or cool settings. The clicking noise can be present regardless of whether the AC is on or off and could be due to a lack of lubrication in the heater cable. The cable can be accessed from under the Odyssey's hood, behind the engine block near the firewall, where it operates a valve connected to a hose. A more complex solution involves removing the temperature control unit located under the dashboard, which is connected to the heater cable. Cleaning and lubricating the unit and its electrical contacts can help eliminate the annoying clicking sound.
