If your 2016 Honda Pilot's keyless start is not working, there are two possible causes. Firstly, the battery in the key fob may be dead and require replacement. Alternatively, the fuse located near the steering wheel could be blown. To access the fuse box, locate a small seam or crack along the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel. Use a screwdriver or prybar to open this panel. Inside, you will find multiple fuses. On the back of the panel, there should be a diagram indicating the function of each fuse. If it's not there, you can refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Identify the faulty fuse by checking for a broken metal strip connecting the two raised sections. If the strip is intact, the fuse is still good and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses usually cost around $10, making them affordable.

I own a 2016 Honda Pilot and I'm facing the same issue. I wonder why Honda hasn't initiated a recall for this problem yet.

I switched out the batteries in my key fobs earlier today with new ones that were tested and working fine using a voltimeter. However, pressing the buttons on the key fobs or getting close to my car isn't yielding any response. Can anyone assist with troubleshooting?

I own a 2016 Pilot and recently received a code alert. The service advisor claims that an animal may have chewed on my wires causing the issue. I disagree with this explanation as I believe it's a design flaw in the Pilot. I intend to escalate this matter to Honda Corporation, given that my Pilot is a 2016 model.

My spouse recently bought a brand-new Honda. I had both key fobs with me. When I used the key fob for the Pilot, I encountered an error. However, when I only brought the Pilot fob, the error disappeared. Interestingly, I can carry both key fobs in my spouse's car without any error messages appearing.

Here's a paraphrased and unique version: The key fob can be disconnected from the car, and most often the battery in the key fob will run out of power, causing it to stop functioning.

This issue could be related to key pairing, a weak remote battery, or possibly a malfunctioning push start button.
