The rim size for a 2004 Chevy Impala varies depending on the vehicle's trim package. The base model and LS come equipped with a 16-inch diameter rim that is 6 1/2 inches wide, while the SS model features a 17-inch wheel that is 7 inches wide. In addition to different wheel sizes, the tires also differ. The base model and LS use P225/60R16 tires, while the SS uses P235/55R17 tires. When replacing the wheels, ensure that the tapered end of the lug nuts is facing toward the wheel. Installing the lug nuts backwards could lead to them coming loose, potentially resulting in a serious accident.
