The key fob for the 2008 Nissan Altima needs a 3V CR2032 battery. To change the battery, you'll require a flathead screwdriver or similar tool for prying. Start by taking out the valet key. Use the prying tool to separate the two sides of the fob by inserting it between the notches and twisting. Make sure to replace the old battery with a new one, keeping the positive side facing upwards. You can gently remove the old battery with a smaller screwdriver if needed. Once the new battery is in place, snap the fob sides together and put back the valet key.
