If you drive a Nissan Maxima made in 2009 or later, you'll need to use a CR2032 3v coin cell battery. These batteries can be a little pricey, typically ranging from $5 to $12 each, so it's a good idea to get a two-pack so you have a spare for your key fob. To replace the battery, start by removing the physical key from the device. Then, use a pry tool to gently separate the two sides of the key fob. Once it's open, you'll see the spot for the battery on one side. Simply switch out the old battery with a new one, then snap all the parts back together.
