I purchased a pre-owned 2017 Sentra S, which I believe is the standard trim level. The key fob, which is not automatic or smart, has a push button to disarm the car and unlock the door. It indicates on the inside of the fob that it requires a CR1620 battery, which is also what is used inside. To my surprise, the CR1620 is smaller than the CR2032 battery I initially thought was the correct size when I went to buy a replacement.

I'm from the States, so things might vary a bit, but the video I watched about replacing the battery in a 2017 Sentra fob recommended using a CR2025 battery, which was actually the same size as the one I removed from my fob. When replacing any type of fob, whether it's for your car or your condo, simply open it up, take the battery to the store, and put in a new one of the same kind. It's a good idea to snap a photo of how the old battery was positioned before you remove it. By the way, in case it makes a difference, the 2017 Nissan fob should have the writing on the battery facing downward.

It appears the 2032 is functioning properly, but the 2025 is the original equipment manufacturer.

It's definitely a CR2025, not a CR2032.
