The initial bolts are made of nylon with slotted heads, measuring 6mm x 1.0 pitch and 3/4 inches long. These bolts thread into a steel welded nut. I had to drill out the nylon after the screws broke and then use a 6mm tap to clean the steel threads on the nut. To prevent similar issues in the future, I will apply neverseez to either a stainless steel bolt or a nylon bolt.
