The Cadillac XT4 may encounter issues with its transmission, such as delayed shifting and slipping, both of which can be troublesome. The transmission plays a critical role in the vehicle's operation, and problems are bound to arise eventually. It's possible for the gears to get stuck or for a leak in the transmission fluid to occur, which should be addressed promptly. Other potential issues include jerking, delayed acceleration due to delayed shifts, and harsh shifting, all of which can be problematic. Slippery shifts may also occur, leading to shuddering sensations. Regular maintenance, like changing the transmission fluid every 30,000 to 60,000 miles, is crucial. Neglecting fluid changes can result in unpleasant noises emanating from the transmission, while a worn-out torque converter can lead to significant headaches.

I've put 2700 miles on my car and it's been jolting at low speeds ever since I bought it. I've taken it to Sullivan in Ocala twice now, but it still doesn't feel quite right. The issue seems to be with the 9-speed transmission, as it can't seem to make up its mind on which gear to be in. This is my fourth Cadillac, but I'm not satisfied this time and I suspect there's a problem with the vehicle.

I drive a 2021 Cadillac XT4 and have been experiencing consistent problems. When driving at low speeds, the vehicle hesitates and jerks. Additionally, the transmission only shifts into 9th gear on the highway if I accelerate slowly and keep the speed under 60 MPH. If I accelerate moderately to highway speeds, the vehicle gets stuck in 8th gear instead. This issue has led me to take the car to the dealership for the third time to address it.

I custom ordered an XT4 and received a 2022 model in August 2022. Unfortunately, in October, the transmission failed because transmission fluid leaked into it due to a manufacturing flaw. Adding to the frustration, necessary parts are on backorder for 3 months. While the dealership has tried to assist, Cadillac has been completely unhelpful. My advice is to steer clear of Cadillac.

I haven't encountered any issues, but I got a notification that my car's diagnostic system detected a potential problem with the transmission and I need to make an appointment within a week. I'm taking it in this morning. I'll keep everyone updated.

Rented a 2021 XT4. Following the third oil change, experienced a significant transmission slip when going from a complete stop to acceleration. This occurred for two days, causing great concern and requiring a tow to the dealer located 30 miles away. Despite the dealer's inspection over a week, they were unable to replicate the issue. Since receiving the car back, the slipping persists, albeit less severely. Originally planned to purchase the vehicle at the end of the lease but now relieved to not be stuck with it long term.

My 2023 XT4's transmission jerks when shifting from 3rd to 2nd and 2nd to 1st gear. I've visited the dealer twice about this issue - the first time, Cadillac said not to do anything, and the second time, they did a software update that didn't fix the problem. Be cautious if you're considering buying this model.

The transmission issues with the 2019 Cadillac XT4 involve being unable to shift gears smoothly and experiencing sudden jerking movements while driving.
