The 2010 Nissan Altima uses Prestone 1 gallon yellow 50/50 coolant/antifreeze. To perform a coolant change, start by locating the radiator under the hood. It's situated in front of the engine compartment and connected to a clear or black plastic reservoir. This reservoir features a drain plug, fill plug, and dipstick for checking coolant levels. If you just need to top up the coolant, measure the amount in the reservoir and add more as needed. For a complete flush, open the drain plug and let the old coolant flow into a bucket. You can assist the process by pouring water into the reservoir. Once the water runs clear, close the drain plug and refill the reservoir up to the designated cool or cold line. Finally, replace the cap securely.
