In 2005, all trims of the Honda Civic, even the hybrid versions, featured front-wheel drive exclusively, with no possibility to switch to all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. This has remained consistent throughout the Civic's production history, as no Civic model has ever been manufactured with four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. If you are interested in obtaining an AWD vehicle from Honda, options include the HR-V, CR-V, Pilot, or Ridgeline models. Car types within the Civic lineup do not offer this feature, so you will need to explore SUVs or trucks from Honda for that capability.
In 2005, there was an all-wheel-drive version of the Civic, but it was limited in production.
The 2005 Honda Civic DX, LX, EX, Si, and Hybrid models come exclusively with front-wheel drive (FWD). There are no plans to offer all-wheel drive (AWD) or rear-wheel drive (RWD) versions for the Honda Civic in the near future.
