In recent years, Honda has implemented a capless fuel filler design in most of their vehicles, except for the Honda Insight, which still requires a traditional gas cap. This is due to its pressurized fuel system that Honda claims improves fuel efficiency. They advise using unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher, and prefer TOP TIER Detergent Gasoline if available. It's important not to use gasoline with more than 15% ethanol content. Typically, gasoline includes about 10% ethanol, stemming from the U.S. Clean Air Act of the early 1990s that mandated the use of oxygenated fuel to reduce emissions and promote cleaner combustion.
