The 2007 INFINITI G35X is equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine in all its versions. This means that no matter the trim level, you will require the same type and amount of oil. The total capacity with the filter is 5 quarts of SAE 5W-30 synthetic motor oil. In case of emergency, you can temporarily substitute SAE 5W-40 oil, but it is not advised. The reason being that SAE 5W-40 has poorer viscosity and regular oil is prone to breaking down. To ensure optimal engine performance, it is best to use the thinnest oil recommended by the manufacturer. This will safeguard against premature wear and tear, potentially extending the effective lifespan of your G35X.
