The 2009 Chrysler 300 comes from the factory with synthetic SAE 10-30 motor oil already in it. If you need to change it, you can opt for Havoline's Pro DS Synthetic brand, which costs around $7.50 per quart. Your vehicle requires 6 quarts of oil, including the filter. It is recommended to have an oil change every 7000 miles or once a year if you're using synthetic oil. If you have conventional oil, it's suggested to change it about every 3000 miles or every three months. When changing the oil, use a standard 16mm drain plug and tighten it to 20 foot-pounds of torque. For the filter, you can use a WIX57899 or 57060 as a replacement for the OEM filter; they are compatible options.
