The 2009 Lincoln MKS requires A5W-20 synthetic motor oil in a reservoir that holds 5.5 quarts, including the filter. It's recommended to use a mixed or full synthetic oil instead of conventional oil for better performance as the vehicle ages. WIX57502 or WIX51516 oil filters are recommended, but equivalents can also be used. The oil drain plug should be torqued to twenty pound feet. For synthetic oil (full or blend), it's advised to change the oil every 7,000 miles, and for conventional oil, every 3,500 miles.
