The 2013 GMC Acadia holds 6.4 quarts of 5w-30 viscosity oil. When changing the oil in your car, start by ensuring the vehicle has been turned off and parked for a few hours to avoid getting burned by hot oil. Locate the oil pan and drain plug underneath the engine compartment, place a bucket underneath, and remove the plug to drain the oil. Allow it to drain completely before replacing the plug, then refill the oil through the intake port on the oil pan using a funnel. Be careful not to overfill, as it can cause leaks and burn off oil. After filling it to the appropriate level, close the port, clean up any spills, and you're done.
Make sure to refer to your manual. My GMC 2013 Acadia SLT requires DEXOS1 Full Synthetic oil. Using the incorrect oil may harm your engine and nullify your vehicle warranty.
