In 2013, the Mazda3 with a 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine requires 4.5 quarts of oil, while the 2.5 L 4-cylinder engine needs approximately 5.3 quarts, provided you're also replacing the oil filter. Both engines should use Mazda Genuine Oil full synthetic 0W-20 for optimal fuel economy according to the manual. However, if you have a different brand of synthetic 0W-20 on hand, it's okay to use that as well. To maintain top performance and keep your engine healthy, remember to change the oil every 5,000 miles and replace the filter each time.
The 2013 Mazda 3 models have different engine oil capacities. The 2.0L version holds 4.5 US quarts (4.3 Liters), the 2.3L version requires 6 US quarts (5.7 Liters), and the 2.5L version needs 5.3 US quarts (5 Liters) of oil. For the 2.5L and 2.0L, it's best to use Mazda Genuine 0W-20 Oil to maximize fuel efficiency. The 2.3L, on the other hand, is recommended to use SAE 5W-30 oil.
