The Ford C-Max Hybrid should use SAE 5w-20 full synthetic oil with a capacity of 4.5 quarts. Oil is crucial for keeping your engine's internal parts lubricated and free from dirt and impurities, ensuring your vehicle runs smoothly. Typically, an oil change for your Ford will cost between $150 and $200, covering labor and parts. It is recommended to get an oil change every 10,000 miles or 12 months. Warning signs while driving that suggest you need an oil change include engine noise, a ticking engine, transmission shifting problems, idling vibrations, and decreased fuel efficiency. Look out for exterior signs such as smoke instead of regular exhaust and oil leakage where your vehicle is parked to determine if an oil change is necessary.

The top response is misleading unless you factor in the cost of the employees' break time. It's ridiculous to pay over $100 for an oil change. I've been charged around $70 in Oregon for my last two oil changes. Now, I'm taking matters into my own hands as I can't trust anyone to do the job correctly or use quality parts, even Ford mechanics seem to lack basic knowledge. This is not just based on my own experience but also from what I've seen others share. By the way, never trust someone who only "checks" or "looks" at your suspension - make sure they actually drive it. Despite reporting issues with my suspension, four different shops claimed it was fine, but a month later, I had a shock blow out. It seems like Ford's designs and customer care are both subpar. It's amusing how they recently issued a recall to fix a previous recall.
