For a 2017 Ford Fiesta, it is recommended to use Motorcraft® SAE 0W-20 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil. If this specific oil isn't available, SAE 5W-20 can be used instead. Other suitable options include Mobil 1 Advanced Synthetic Motor Oil 5W-20 or Castrol Magnatec Synthetic Motor Oil 5W-20. The main purpose of engine oil is to maintain the engine's youthfulness and prolong its lifespan. It achieves this by cleaning, conditioning, reducing friction, and regulating temperature. As engine oil plays a crucial role, it is essential to take good care of it by changing it at regular intervals and keeping it topped up when the level is low.
The type of oil used in a car's engine is very important. The Fiesta comes in two different engine models, so it's essential to know which one you have if you're doing an oil change yourself. Thankfully, both engines do not need 5W-30 synthetic blend oil. You can find the right oil at any nearby auto parts store, but make sure you also get a new oil filter.
