The oil required for a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan will vary depending on the specific engine model. For the 3.3L and 3.8L engines, synthetic 5W-20 oil is recommended, while the larger 4.0L engine requires 10W-30 synthetic oil. If you choose to change the oil yourself, expect to spend around $40 on oil. Alternatively, having it done at a shop will cost between $110 and $140. The van is equipped with an oil drain plug that has a 16mm head size and requires 24 lbs-ft of torque to remove using a torque wrench.
Dodge suggests using SAE 5W-20 motor oil for the 3.3L and 3.8L engines, and for the 4.0L engine, it is recommended to use SAE 10W-30 oil.
I use 5w20 Castrol Edge synthetic oil, and it performs really well for me.
