The 2013 Honda Pilot comes from the factory with SAE 0W-20 synthetic motor oil, which is what you should opt for during an oil change. The 3.5L 6-cylinder engine will require 4.2 quarts to top up, or 4.5 U.S. quarts (4.3 liters) if you also replace the filter (which is recommended). If you plan to do the swap yourself, you can get a 5-quart jug of Amsoil Signature Series 0W-20 Synthetic Motor Oil (product code: ASM1G-EA) for roughly $52, and buy the filter for an additional $15. With this product, you can go about a year or 10,000 miles before needing to change the oil again.
The 2013 Honda Pilot is designed to operate with SAE 0W-20 Full Synthetic Motor Oil.
