In the 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, SAE 5W-20 oil is used. Dodge suggests using full synthetic oil whenever you need to change the oil in your van. There are two main types of oil on the current market: synthetic and conventional. Synthetic oil is specially designed in a laboratory to provide greater wear protection and a longer lifespan compared to traditional petroleum-based oil. This translates to fewer necessary oil changes, typically every 7,500 miles with synthetic versus every 3,500 to 5,000 miles with conventional oil. I recommend monitoring your oil levels at least once a month to ensure it remains at appropriate levels and is free from any indications of damage or debris.
Dodge suggests using MOPAR® SAE 5W-20 motor oil like Pennzoil® or Shell Helix® for the 2014 Grand Caravan.
So that option is off the table for me, right?
I'm wondering if it's okay to use Super Tech Conventional 5W-20 engine oil in my 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan, or if I should avoid that type altogether. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.
