For the 2007 Acura RDX, it is recommended to use Genuine Acura Motor Oil with a viscosity of 0W-20. Other brands of oil, including synthetic oil, are acceptable as long as they have the API Certification Seal and the same viscosity grade. The RDX features an oil life maintenance system that monitors engine conditions to determine when the oil needs to be changed. When the oil life is running low, the display panel will alert the driver to have the oil changed promptly. It is advisable to check the engine oil level at least once a week, ideally every time you refuel, to maintain good habits.
The Maintenance Minder will notify you when it's time for an oil change in your car. It is suggested by the manufacturer to have the oil changed at least once per year. To ensure the Acura RDX operates smoothly, it requires full synthetic 0W-20 oil. Additionally, when getting an oil change, remember to change the oil filter as well.
