A 2016 Volkswagen Jetta TSI with a 1.4L 4-cylinder CNLA turbo engine needs to use synthetic 5W-40 motor oil. It would require about 4.2 US quarts, including the filter. To ensure you have enough, it's advisable to get a one-gallon jug and an extra single quart. The total cost for the oil should be around $30 if you're doing it yourself. The oil drain plug is a 14mm size and needs 22 ft-lbs of torque to be removed.
