In 2002, Toyota recommended using ATF fluid Dexron II or III for the power steering system in the Tundra. The price of this fluid can range from $5 to $20 per quart. The power steering fluid reservoir can be found under the hood in the front of the engine compartment on the passenger side. You will notice a black cap with a steering wheel symbol on it to indicate that it is the power steering fluid reservoir. You can check the fluid levels by looking at the indicators on the side of the reservoir, which will tell you if more fluid is needed or if it is full. When topping off the fluid, make sure to open the reservoir and use a funnel to carefully pour the fluid in to avoid spilling any on the engine or surrounding area.
