For the Nissan D21 truck, the recommended power steering fluid is dexron or dexron ii. To change the power steering fluid, start by locating the clear plastic container under the hood near the window. Use a pump to extract all the fluid from the container. When the fluid level gets low, turn the steering wheel all the way to one side, then all the way to the other side to drain the fluid into the container. Once the container is dry, refill it up to the full line, but do not overfill. It may take some time for the steering wheel to loosen up, so try driving for about 20 minutes to ensure the change was successful.
