The recommended transfer case fluid for the 2005 Nissan Titan is ATF. To change the transmission fluid, start by ensuring that the vehicle is parked on a flat surface, then open the hood. Locate the transmission fluid reservoir, which is usually located near the transmission, and find the dipstick. Remove the dipstick, clean it off, reinsert it, and then pull it out again. Take note of the fluid level indicated on the dipstick and determine how much additional fluid is required to reach the proper level. Use a funnel to slowly add fluid until it reaches the full mark or slightly below. Avoid overfilling. Secure the reservoir cap and you're all set.

For the 2005 Nissan Titan transfer case, it is best to use authentic Nissan Matic D ATF or Dexron III or Mercon fluid.
