In order to change the transmission fluid in a 2007 VW Jetta 2.5, you'll need ATF G 055 025 automatic transmission fluid. Start by ensuring the car is parked on level ground and then raise the hood. Locate the transmission fluid reservoir, which should be situated near the transmission, and find the dipstick. Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it, and then pull it out again. Take note of the fluid level indicated and determine how much additional fluid is required to fill the reservoir. Use a funnel to refill the container until it reaches the full mark, or just below it. It's okay to be slightly under the full mark, but do not overfill. Secure the reservoir and you're all set.
