The 2008 Subaru Impreza came with a standard 4-speed automatic TZ1B8 transmission, but you could also choose a manual transmission. If you have the automatic, you'll need Dexron VI fluid, or you can use a multi-vehicle transmission fluid compatible with Dexron transmissions. You'll need about 10 US quarts of fluid, costing between $70 and $100 to fill it up completely. For the manual transmission, you'll need 75W-90 gear oil, and the capacity is 7.4 pints.
