For the 2007 Tacoma, it is recommended to use Lubegard Synthetic Transmission Fluid Dexron VI. To change the transmission fluid, start by ensuring the car is parked on level ground and then open the hood. Look for the transmission fluid reservoir, which is usually located near the transmission itself, and locate the dipstick. Remove it, wipe it clean, reinsert it, and then pull it back out to check the fluid level. Note how much fluid is in there and how much more you need to add to fill it up. Use a funnel to slowly add fluid until it reaches the full line, or just below it. Avoid overfilling. Once filled, close the reservoir and you're all set.
