There could be a variety of reasons why the speakers in your Ford Escape are not working, and further investigation is needed. Are all the speakers not working or just one? Are you getting any sound at all from the affected speaker(s)? Do any of the audio inputs, like the radio, auxiliary, or CD, work? If only one speaker is not working, it may be due to a short in the wiring or a blown-out speaker, which would require replacing either the wiring or speaker. If all speakers are not working, it could be a deeper issue with the head unit or amplifier. If it's only one audio input that's not working, check the CD player for CD issues, the antenna for radio problems, or the auxiliary port for aux failures.

Sometimes the radio loses connection with the speakers if there's an electrical issue. Give resetting the radio a shot.
