The Chevy Trax's radio troubles, like a blown fuse or loose wire, can cause sound issues. The problem could stem from the stereo's speakers or a connected phone. Regardless of the source, these problems need to be addressed quickly. If the stereo is to blame, symptoms may include static noises, sporadic shutdowns, loose wires, or blown fuses. Conversely, phone-related issues could be due to software not updating, failure to sync with the vehicle, low phone battery, or signal interference from objects.

My radio is not functioning properly and I can't enter the valet mode code to reset it. The OnStar location pops up and the hotspot freezes, preventing me from accessing anything at all.

Turnersville Chevrolet mentioned that they are working on fixing a "software" issue. Please avoid making multiple calls as the resolution may take up to 6 weeks. They have also offered to provide a new radio system, but that may not solve the problem in the long run.
