It is a common issue to experience failure of low beam headlights on most vehicles, including the Ford Transit Van. If one of the headlights has stopped working, the initial step is to inspect the bulb itself since they have a limited lifespan and will eventually burn out. It is highly unlikely for both headlights to fail simultaneously, so troubleshooting should begin by checking the fuse and relay designated as fuses 23 and 24, and relay R6. Additionally, examine the light switch located inside the beam selection lever. If these measures do not resolve the issue, use a digital multimeter in the bulb sockets to track the power supply back to its source.

The issue with my vehicle was caused by dual-circuit bulbs - the main beam wasn't working, but the high beam was. The failure of the main beam occurred because the bulbs burned out. I suggest starting by replacing the bulbs to see if that resolves the problem.

If the side lights on your Ford Transit are not working, it might be because of defective bulbs, a faulty relay switch, or blown fuses.
