So frustrating

It's likely that the reason the back door won't open on your 2013 Ford F-150 super cab is due to a broken latch lock cable end, which is made of plastic and can become brittle over time. This leads to the cable not properly activating the latches. There are aftermarket kits available that are made of metal and fit well on the cable, making them less prone to breaking. To access the latches, you'll need to remove the door trim panel using hex and torx sockets with a ratchet, as well as a Phillips screwdriver. A panel clip trim removal tool can come in handy for popping the clips, although a flat blade screwdriver can also be used, but may result in breaking more clips. Once the door trim panel is removed, you can reconnect the cable by removing the handle and latch.
