The Toyota Solara's final convertible model rolled off the production line in 2008, despite being also known under the Solara Coupe name. Initially, Toyota intended to continue offering this convertible until 2010, but it failed to generate enough demand to justify its continued production.

I owned a 2000 Solara coupe, and it was the most reliable car I've ever had with minimal upkeep needed. I also found a fantastic dealership with skilled auto technicians. However, there was one small issue: I went in because the tire light was on, and they claimed I needed new brakes, even though I had just replaced them three months earlier. Unfortunately, my usual mechanic was away on vacation at the time. Jim ended up winning some mechanic competition. The car provided a quiet and smooth ride and was perfect for many road trips.
