The 2012 Honda Civic's antenna is positioned at the center of the roof, right above the rear window. To replace it, begin by taking out the headrests located in the rear seats. Push the tab beneath the right-hand side of the headrests and lift them straight up. Next, remove the handholds above the rear windows by pulling and holding the handle down while prying off the plastic covers. Inside the handle, there is a metal spring clip; squeeze the tabs inward and pull out the handle. Then, take out the plastic clips holding up the headliner along the back window and remove the plastic trim piece along the sides of the rear window by using a flat screwdriver. Start pulling down the headliner until reaching the center pillar. Use a 17-millimeter socket to release the bolt securing the antenna and unplug the electrical connector connected to it.
