In your 2002 Dodge Dakota, you can locate the automatic shut down (ASD) relay in the power distribution center (PDC) in the engine compartment. You will find the PDC between the battery and the brake fluid reservoir on the driver's side. To access the relay, you will have to remove the cover. The ASD relay is situated at position R2, which is next to a tight group of two large relays on the upper right side of the block. R2 is the lower one or the closest to you if you are facing the front of the truck during inspection.
The 2002 Dodge Dakota's automatic shutdown relay (ASD) is located in the power distribution center (PDC) in the engine bay.
In my 1999 model with a 2.5 engine, the part is in the pdc, but it's not there in the 2002 model. Is there another place it could be?
Not situated within the power distribution center.
