Starting from the 2007 model year, Volvo S40s began incorporating an additional input in the center console. By the time the 2008 model came around, this input was likely concealed under a small fabric flap, serving as a cover to shield against dirt and debris typically found in the console area. Given the age of the vehicle, it's possible that this fabric cover may no longer be present. If your Volvo S40 has an aftermarket head unit from brands like Boss, Bose, Sony, JVC, Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, or others, it may already have a built-in auxiliary input on the front. However, if your car still has the original equipment, you will need to search within the console for the input.
