The auxiliary input on the 2006 Chevy Tahoe is located behind the auxiliary port. If the port is not functioning, you should check the fuse to ensure it is not damaged. To access the fuse box, look to the left of the steering wheel for a small seam or crack along the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to gently open the panel. Inside, you will see various fuses. On the back of the panel, there should be a diagram showing the purpose of each fuse. If not, you can refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Once you identify the needed fuse, simply remove it. Check if the thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections of the fuse is intact. If it is broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. If the strip is unbroken, the fuse is still good and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses typically cost around $10.
