The 2009 Ford F-150's bank 1 sensor 1 is located close to the exhaust manifold on the left side of the engine, in front of the catalytic converter. This sensor is mounted on the exhaust pipe with a wire coming out from the back. O2 sensors analyze exhaust gases to gauge engine performance, providing data to the truck's ECU for adjusting fuel and air levels.
